Group Tuition

Suitable for adults, teenagers and children.

All our group classes are small consisting of 7 students per class offering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and individual attention.
Classes are divided into 3 groups, beginners, intermediate and advanced and are grouped according to experience.
Classes run for 15 weeks commencing in September and January All classes are 45 minutes long.
Adult classes are held on Mon, Tues, Wed, & Thurs, evenings from 6.30pm to 10pm.
Teenagers and children’s classes are on Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Beginner students learn basic left and right hand technique, reading chord diagrams, and learning strumming patterns.
We teach a varied repertoire form traditional songs, rock songs, popular songs and ballads.
As the student progresses to the next level, finger styles, learning new chord formations, riffs and an increased repertoire come into play.
Advanced courses consist of scales, solo playing, and learning more difficult songs.

Enrolment for our group guitar courses takes place during the summer months.
It is advisable to book early, as our classes are limited to 7 per class, which appeal to students looking for extra attention within a group situation.
The Clontarf School of Music has been teaching guitar of all styles for the past 22 years to people from all over Dublin.
We offer a commitment with our teaching practices and all our teachers come with high qualifications.
